My Orchestral Plugins Recommendations (affordable)

Posted by Drakensson - October 29th, 2024

Hey guys.

I started making orchestral music last year,

and there are particular plugins that have become my go-to.

Many of these are affordable, so the list could come of use for those of you with

limited economy who wants to engrave your name in the world of orchestral music.

NB: the Cinesamples and 8Dio links will direct you to the developer's

affordable versions of them; Musio and Soundpaint

(educational prices available)

For their full (and more expensive) stand-alone versions, visit their websites.

Spitfire LABS also provides some free instruments, but I don't use them.

Spitfire: Epic Choir

Spitfire: Epic Strings

Spitfire: Frozen Strings

Cinesamples: Taylor Davis Solo Violin

Cinesamples: Gina Luciani Cinematic Flutes

Cinesamples: Drums of War

QuietMusic: Quiet Piano

8Dio: Forgotten Voices

You can also buy Musio and get everything above and beyond for 199 dollars!!
I spent thousands of dollars on these stupid libraries and now they are almost free T_T

I think it's understandable that this practice can be seen as scummy.
Spitfire turning LABS into a partial subscription service is pure assholery.
Everything went downhill after our Lord-and-Savior Christian Henson left
